Laboratory services
In order to carry out its activities and comply with the directives of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), LAD benefits from ISO 17025 quality accreditation.
The laboratory is an essential component of the entire process of anti-doping control. Anonymyzed samples received by the laboratory are handled differently depending on the matrix (urine or blood), the types of substances that are looked for and the methods of analysis. The detection of prohibited substances in biological samples relies on sophisticated and often complex devices.
The results are made available as an analytical report within 10 working days or less after delivery of the samples to the laboratory. The opening hours of administrative office are 8h00-17h00.
In addition to conducting routine tests, LAD scientists are occasionally asked to act as experts in cases handled by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne.
