The Swiss Laboratory for Doping Analyses (LAD)

This website provides information about the Swiss Laboratory for Doping Analyses (LAD) and is aimed at its clients, various sports federations and any other individual or organization interested in issues pertaining to anti-doping. By visiting this website, you will learn about the history of our laboratory, its missions, its organization, and its activities and services offered in the context of routine analyses, teaching and research.

LAD, the only anti-doping laboratory in Switzerland, provides its customers with perfectly reliable results of urinary doping analyses within 10 working days after receiving the samples. LAD customers can also benefit from its extensive experience in the management and the development of testing methods of the blood matrix. As a highly reputable laboratory, DAL is a regular provider of services and know-how during major national and international sports events.

LAD activities are not confined to laboratory services as mandated by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). The University of Lausanne has entrusted our laboratory with an important education mission both at the Faculty of Biology and Medicine (FBM) and at the Institute of Sports Science and Physical Education (ISSEP).

LAD academic affiliation ensures that active research and development activities are also duly recognized by the scientific anti-doping community. Our laboratory's recent research publications can also be found on this website.
